Essential oil properties and composition

The essential oil is yellow in color and semi solid, a crystal mass and semi solid in normal temperature. The solid part named Stearoptene is odorless and melts in 32°C. The liquid part is named Oleoptene.

The aroma is strong and taste a bit sweet.

The major parts of the essential oil are Geraniol (45-70%) (C₁₀ H₁₈ O) and Citronelol (20-40%) (C₁₂ H₂₀ O). These two compounds are both liquid and smells very mild and pleasant.

The liquid part contain farnesol Citral, aldehyde nonilic, nerol. Linalool, eugenol, ciral and other chemicals as well as the two constituents mentioned above.
